Privacy Policy

MedMinds respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and — if you use Google Sign-In — basic Google profile details (name, email, profile picture).
  • Enrollment data: father's name, district/province, student status, selected batch, contact/WhatsApp number, and payment details you submit (payment method, amount, transaction ID, sender name, and receipt image).
  • Learning data: tests you take, answers, scores, time spent, mistakes saved to your diary, autosaved progress, and leaderboard position.
  • Device & technical data: a device identifier and device name/type used to enforce the device limit, sign-in times, and basic logs needed for security and troubleshooting.
  • Local storage: your browser stores preferences such as theme (light/dark) and session information so the app works properly. We do not use it for advertising.

How we use it

  • to create and secure your account and let you sign in;
  • to verify payments and approve enrollment;
  • to deliver tests, save progress, and show results, analytics and leaderboards;
  • to enforce the device limit and prevent account sharing, cheating and fraud;
  • to contact you about your batch, tests, results, or support requests — including by WhatsApp or email;
  • to improve question quality and the Platform.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

Who can see your data

  • MedMinds admins/teachers can see your enrollment details, test performance and answer-by-answer reports so they can run batches and support you.
  • Leaderboards may show your name and score to other students in your batch.
  • Service providers that host and run the Platform — such as Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and Google (Sign-In) — process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
  • WhatsApp: when you submit enrollment, the app may open a pre-filled WhatsApp message to us containing your enrollment and payment details. Messages you send there are also handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
  • We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Platform and its users.

Security & retention

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password. We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for records, payment verification and dispute handling, then delete or anonymize it when no longer required.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete your account and personal data by emailing service.medminds@gmail.com from your registered address. Some records (for example verified payment records) may be retained where needed for legitimate business or legal reasons. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian may make these requests for you.

Children

Many MDCAT students are 17–19. Students under 18 should use MedMinds with parent/guardian awareness. We do not knowingly collect data for purposes other than exam preparation.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change and significant updates will be announced on the Platform or our WhatsApp channel.

How to request a refund

  • Contact us on 0342 1371257 (WhatsApp) or service.medminds@gmail.com with your registered email, batch name, transaction ID and reason.
  • Approved refunds are sent to the same bank/wallet account used for payment. Bank or wallet delays are outside our control.

Payment safety

  • We never ask for your card PIN, wallet PIN, OTP or online-banking password.
  • Pay only to the account details shown in the enrollment step or given by our official number. We are not responsible for money sent to any other account.
  • Keep your receipt until your enrollment is approved.

Account & Device Policy

  • Each student account may be signed in on up to 2 devices. If you reach the limit, you'll be shown your active devices and can remove one to continue.
  • Accounts are for one person only. Repeated sign-ins from many locations, or signs of account sharing, may lead to suspension.
  • If you lose or replace a phone or laptop, remove the old device from the device-limit screen or contact support.
  • Sign out on shared or public computers.

Content Protection Policy

Our team invests heavily in building accurate, exam-focused MCQs and explanations. To keep prices fair for everyone:

  • Do not forward, post or sell our questions, tests, notes or screenshots — including in study groups.
  • Do not use tools to bulk-copy or scrape content.
  • Leaks may result in immediate account removal without refund and, where appropriate, further action under copyright law.

Spotted a leak or an error in a question? Please tell us at service.medminds@gmail.com.

Fair Test Policy

  • Scheduled tests must be attempted by you alone, without help, and within the announced window.
  • Progress is autosaved, but you are responsible for a stable internet connection. Technical issues on our side will be handled fairly; issues on your side (network, battery, closing the tab) generally will not entitle you to a re-attempt.
  • Scores that appear manipulated may be removed from leaderboards and results.
  • Question disputes are welcome — report them via WhatsApp or email and our team will review; corrections apply to all students.

Support & Grievances

We aim to reply to support messages within 1–2 working days.

For payment issues please include your registered email, batch name, amount and transaction ID.
